"While I was recording my new album, "Sanguine", with Joey Burns and John Convertino of Calexico, I worked on different versions of the "Sanguine" songs. Soon afterwards, I decided to gather these alternate versions, plus other originals, into a vinyl record. I called it "Exsanguine", an album of covers of myself."
